Today we’d like to introduce you to Scott and Pamela Purcel.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Nine years ago, on October 20, 2008, we opened our brand new, little dance studio (two rooms), maybe 5 teachers? Calm, easy schedule, Wednesday nights closed; all classes over by 7pm because every student was little and had an early bedtime…. Oh my how things have changed!!! We are grateful for the lessons, the people and the opportunity to make people’s lives better.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a smooth road as we love sharing our love of Dance with the Legacy Dance Center student dancers. We now train the dancers in a 10,000 sq ft studio!
Legacy Dance Center – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Our dancers study dance at all levels. Some start as early as 2.5 yrs while others wait till they are older. As parents ourselves, we understand the importance of a fostering an environment where dancers learn the fundamentals of dance.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Many times Younger dancers come to take Dance for the first time. When these same dancers fall in love and enroll in over 15 hours of dance and then get selected to study in world-renowned facilities in New York City, this makes us the most proud.
