Meet Shamhad Kiyon Broades

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shamhad Kiyon Broades.

Shamhad, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
First, foremost, I am an actor whose not really new with being vulnerable and showing emotion. Acting started early ages, such as 7 and 8 I knew I wanted to act. I also knew that I would be good at it. However, when I got older, I added modeling to the package. I started modeling at the beginning of September of 2016. In the beginning, I didn’t really anything about camera work or how to make the best you come to life in the photo.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No roads are smooth that I know of. They all been patched up, taken away, and added to however roads are relentless and you have to be too otherwise, you will not make it in the business. A lot of photographers want you to do nude photos and if that’s not your intent, do just go along with it. Also, know who you working with and for because a lot the people in the industry just want to use you and move along.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
My business starts with my acting, then modeling and dancing, singing just a little bit. Modeling has become closer to the forefront because I gotten paid more times for it, but it will be second in my heart because of acting. My specialty is dramas and videos, the cute attractive guy who’s fit and usually has his shirt off. Yeah, it’s a bit of cliche, but it works and that’s what matters. The biggest and most proudest thing I’ve done so far is the Julius Jones documentary produce by Viola Davis and Mariah Carey’s “A No No” music video. What sets me apart from everyone is that I am an Identical twin. We both. Bring our uniqueness out of one another and we’re always striving to be better than the last.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Getting the show on ABC, which is called the Last Defense, I got the show off of improv, and I had never been prouder of myself.
