Meet Sharon Everett of Tipsy Travels Fine Cocktails and Beverages in The Colony

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sharon Everett.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Sharon. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My family host quite a few events and I attend a lot of parties. I was over the idea of throwing parties and attending events where the host wore all the hats. March of 2016, I birth the idea of Tipsy Travels. From there I scripted at least five ideas a day that was centered around this. Because we are in a time of company mobility and convenience; I thought why not start my own Mobile/Bartending catering company. Besides, I’ve been serving cocktails (a*k*a DRANKS) since the age of 10. Oops, did I just say that? LOL Yikes! I drafted a business plan with the help of a few family and friends, from there I started advertising my services. I was floored by the overwhelming support from my local peers. Strangers are most welcoming and I’m here for it.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
This journey has had its ups and downs. There was no real information I could find on how to price things. I quickly learned that I was making no profit after a year in business. My Husband, sister-more-than-by-law, and my Mom all got certified to help me serve new clients. I am self-funded; now I’m fortunate enough to be able to outsource bartenders as needed. 2019 has opened my eyes to the need for a company van. We are currently working on that.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Our biggest mission when we set up Tipsy Travels was to make other people as passionate about creative well-mixed cocktails as we are. This is still our biggest mission today. Our goal is to allow hosts to enjoy a stress-free, hands-off event. We are known for creating specialized menus for each client. Allowing our clients to pick their bartender’s attire and craft a cocktail recipe that suits their event, is what sets Tipsy apart from the rest. Cocktail catering for Tipsy is more than serving drinks, it’s a complete experience.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I’m looking forward to blessing other states with the Tipsy Mobile brand. We have currently been looking at Tipsy Party Buses. (shhhhSss!) We plan to take over Texas corporate America events in 2020. (Brace Yourselves!) We will also launch our Cocktail subscription boxes in October 2019. (insert The Milly Rock Dance Lol) **No subscription is necessary for the purchase.
