Today we’d like to introduce you to Sharon Herndon.
Sharon, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have always enjoyed doing things for others, I love to see their reactions and bring a smile to their faces. Therefore, it is second nature to start a Business that will showcase the vision of ordinary people in an extraordinary way.
When I was younger, I would design and create gifts for friends and family members and it was the uniqueness of the gift that everyone noticed. I took that Elementary School drawing to the NEXT LEVEL.
Every one of my clients is a referral of someone that I’ve created for or show my work at an event, wedding or conference.
One of my clients actually hired me to do her bouquet just by hearing me talking to someone else in the room (never seeing my work). I remember in the midst of creating a Jr. Bridesmaid Bouquet, I kept hearing “What’s in your Hands” and that STUCK with me. I created a one-of-a-kind Bouquet and that is still talked about today. When it comes to creating NOTHING is off limits,

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
A smooth road, what does that look like? When it is your own, you have to look out for not just bumpy roads, but potholes and ditches. It can and will be a struggle from the beginning, however, that is why you have to know that this is what YOU want and not what Others want for you. That’s the difference between a Hobby and a Business. A Hobby you just do to past time and calm your nerves. A Passion you sleep, eat and breathe your Business until you have dotted all the “I’s” and crossed all the “T’s”.
No matter how you try to do other things you will come back to the last thing you were doing to complete and move to the NEXT. Don’t allow doubt, fear or people’s perception of what you should be doing keep you from what you know you should be doing. SHARR has taken a minute because I gave into the noise of my own head (a Business, you better get a job and support your kid) not realizing that if I had worked my Business liked I worked that Job… I would be living my Best Life now. Mistakes happen, obstacles will be there to discourage you and failures oh YESSS will definitely be there. The question you have to ask yourself is: How can you succeed if you have not failed. You can’t know one without the other.
My advise to you and my daily motivation: When it seems like it is not working and everything is going wrong… that MOMENT is when you know you are on the right road. If it was easy everyone could do it!!!!

I strive to treat each person as if they are my very first client and patiently walk them through the entire process from beginning to end no matter how many times they may change their mind, SHARR believes that if you see we can CREATE IT!
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
How do I personally define success? I am only as successful as the satisfaction of each of my clients. Although they are all very different, the outcome is the same. The world would have you think that success is money, cars, houses, and even businesses… I was taught that success is really being in the center of GOD’s will. If you are in his will, then, you will never fail to obtain the desires and purpose he has aligned for your life.
What’re your criteria, the markers you’re looking out for, etc.
I wake up every day with a gesture to help make someone else’s day better than the day before. So, if my creations are the pieces to the puzzle needed, then Let’s DESIGN.
The markers I look out for are measured by the reactions of my clients, which will lead to future clients. Take what I have learned in Corporate America and utilize it for my small Business, same principle just different tactic.
