Shatarious, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
It all started pretty naturally when I was around 18. I was just exploring different hookah lounges and really found myself drawn to the whole experience. What began as simple curiosity quickly turned into something more hands-on when I landed a gig at Club Villa, a super lively nightclub. That’s where I truly got my hands dirty and learned the ropes of everything hookah-related, from setting them up perfectly to keeping things running smoothly in a really dynamic environment. It was a fantastic learning curve!
After several years of soaking up everything I could and really mastering the craft, a huge opportunity came my way. I met Chris Poux, and he was awesome enough to partner with me. That’s how Kandy Kloudz really took off – we got to set up shop and integrate our services within his network of clubs, which was a massive step for me as an entrepreneur.
Looking back, my journey has been fueled by a mix of things: a strong belief in what I’m doing, lots of hard work, incredible support from my friends, and honestly, the big leap of faith Chris Poux took in me. He truly believed in my vision and opened so many doors.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t always been an easy journey. I never imagined that running a business could be so stressful. Being SK / a woman in the club industry comes with its unique challenges, and you really have to stay strong. Facing a lack of support and criticism can be tough, but through everything, I’ve learned the importance of moving forward no matter what obstacles come up.

How do you define success?
Success is letting God’s plan outshine your own, walking by faith even when the GPS reroutes, and knowing you’re still on time — because heaven doesn’t do delays, only divine timing.
It’s waking up thankful, doing your best, and trusting that the rest is in God’s hands (because let’s be real, He’s the better planner).
It’s not about perfection — it’s about progress with purpose and joy in the journey.

Success is when your faith stays stronger than your fears, your peace outlasts your problems, and you still find reasons to laugh along the way.
