Today we’d like to introduce you to Shawn White and Kennice Mcclenton-White.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I am the founder and owner of B.E.V, my company name was created from my late mother Beverly nickname Bev. I found a reason to use the letters because the words Believe Every Vision symbolizes the way my mom seen life for me. She felt it was nothing in this world I could not do and she believed I would make it big in life one day. Six years ago, I put together decorated and designed my own red carpet Babyshower. I then did the same for my son king SHANE’s first, second, third and fourth birthday. By this time, I had moved from Brooklyn, NY to Dallas, Texas where I met my beautiful wife Kennice Mcclenton White. Wanting to branch out on my own and leave my job of eight years as a corrections officer. I came up with B.E.V Events. We first started off decorating and dressing up as different characters for children’s parties.
But one day a client booked us for a full party decorations characters and treats and that’s when it all came full circle the person who was supposed to do my treats (candy apples chocolate covered Rice Krispie and Oreos) Backed out at the last minute and I had no other choice but to go into full action. It was then I found a love for treat art. Now more than two years later, I can create almost any character any design with apples chocolate strawberries Rice Krispie to name a few items. With the great help of my wife handling all of the bookings and my children being a great host and stepping in to be the characters, we have been able to serve some great people my most recent was an order of 500 chocolate and caramel covered pretzels for a Christmas party Kelly Price was singing for we have also done things for Ts Madison Kennedy Daveport of RuPaul Drag Race and Yellow Beezy Easter party just to name a few. I’m so humbled and grateful for the treat world and I pray one day to be a world-famous treat artist
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Trying to get into the event planning/treat world the biggest struggles have been when you just have no bookings coming in. I had made this a full-time job but it would be months without a booking then bomb you have tons or people taken your ideas and charging cheaper prices.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about B.E.V (Believe Every Vision) – what should we know?
We are event planners/treat artist we specialize currently in treat art for any occasion we do 3d art where we turn apples into characters design pretzels, Oreos, strawberries we all do personalized work with chips water candy bars, etc. What. I’m most proud of is that we an African American family run Buisness Me shawn white My wife kennice Mcclenton-White My kids Breishia Black Armani Jones DESTINEE Jones And King SHANE white all do the decorating set up break down hosting and characters to name a few of our Task when putting on a B.E.V Event and we have been able to show our kids good clean hustle and living and bring smiles to so many one beautiful treats at a time. Currently, in our area of West Dallas were the only people doing 3D art with treats and no matter what you tell us you want we are sure to Bring Every Vision to life

First and for most this is only because God guides my steps second my son King SHANE is the reason I started decorating and treats I want to be sure that his parties were over the top my mom who is known deceased I feel her spirit telling me to keep pushing my biggest supporter has been my wife Kennice Mcclenton White every tool every prop every class or tutorial I have or have ever attended it is all because she paid for it and encourage me to keep pushing. Ahmad Goree and Kirk Myers are the first to gentleman to trust my work and Give me public exposure.
