Today we’d like to introduce you to Shelley Evans.
Hi Shelley, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Be Press’n was created from my love for art. In high school I chose art because I thought it was an easy elective. To my surprise it was hard and I was good at it. After I came home from the Navy(Yes, IYAOYAS! IYKYK)I knew I wanted to start making art again. Once I purchased my first Cricut and made my first Shirt. I knew I wanted to share my creativity with the world and be my own boss.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it has not been smooth. Being a small business owner is not for the weak. It has been two years and it’s still not easy. One of the biggest struggles is trusting the process. Some days you will have one order and other you will have 20, 30 or 40 orders. Thats okay though, and it took me a while to realize that’s how business happens sometimes. Another struggle is just life. As a small business owner, mom and working a 9-5 it’s hard. Finding the perfect balance to juggle everything can be a lot. I have learned to use my support system as much as I can. I have even learned how to involve my boys as much as possible so that I can get some work done. I encourage all small business owners juggling multiple things to use your support system. It makes all the difference.
We’ve been impressed with Be Press’n by Shelleyynicole, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Be Press’n is veteran owned by yours truly. We specialize in custom/graphic tees, custom tumblers, doormats, and dominos. We also make other customizable items by request. We are known for our graphic tees and Tumblers. We offer sublimation, screen print, and dtf (direct to film) for our tees. What sets us apart from others is, for all custom orders. We like to involve our customers in every step as much as possible. We do this by sending progress photos so that the customer is able to see their vision coming to life as well. Although most customers trust us to deliver their ideas without progress photos. It’s definitely a service we take pride in letting our customers know is available to them. I am most proud of how far Be PRESS’N has come, we are thriving, our customers are amazing and that’s all that matters. We have so much coming in the near future that we are excited to share when the time comes.
