Today we’d like to introduce you to Sheridon Mahan.

Sheridon, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I fell in love with Massage therapy the moment I started college. The calmness, the meditation, the helping and healing others mostly. The hands-on care and my interest in energy work and ancient Chinese alternative medicine led me on my path to care for others. I went to college in Florida after moving there from Texas. I opened a small office and worked for a few spas to gain experience with different kinds of client’s energies, and learn business protocols. Knowing not as much massage was going on in Texas as in Florida, I wanted to spread the “wealth”, if you will, back home and opened up a spa. It has been life changing for me and for the family of clients that come in and receive my work and trust me with their body. It’s quite a compliment when a stranger trusts you to care for them in such a personal manner.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Working a full-time job while attending night classes and Saturday classes. Studying to pass the licensing exam all while being a wife and a mother. It wasn’t a struggle, rather an accomplishment to succeed and achieve my goals of business ownership to better myself and my family.

Massage Me practices therapeutic massage in many forms to customize massage for all different people with all different needs. From relaxation to pain management to prenatal massage, Massage Me can provide the therapy your body will accept and benefit from with specific treatment plans for every client.

I practice mainly ancient Chinese forms of massage.

I am most proud that I have never had a client walk out unhappy about our session together. I hear “best massage I’ve ever had” a lot. And that’s why I do it. One client once told me, “you really do make a difference in people’s lives.” I say, that is the goal.

You only pay for your session time in the studio. No additional charges for any extra care that you may need. Aromatherapy is always offered diffusing and topically with your massage. That sets us apart from others. The time we share is about you and your inner peace and therapy.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Very excited to be moving into a larger space with more treatment rooms, yoga studio, sauna room, and detox and meditation coaching. Massage Me is all about living a holistic lifestyle and helping spread that knowledge to others. Always move forward even if it’s not straight.
