Meet Shivonne Carolina of Aim High Realty Group in McKinney

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shivonne Carolina.

Shivonne, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have always had a helping heart. My first career job was as a Medical Technologist working in the Cardiac Step Down Unit in the medical field. I entered into real estate as a consumer first at the age of 22. I did not have a good experience during this first purchase. That is what lead me to pursue a career in Real Estate. My goal was simply to educate and help those who thought that home-ownership is not attainable. I believe that with good information a person can achieve their goals. Some of us just need more help than others and that is okay. I am here to let you know needing help is okay. I mastered being a Realtor and then went on to obtain my Broker License and now my Real Estate Teaching Certificate for the state of TEXAS. This journey has been very rewarding and I would not change a thing.

Has it been a smooth road?
The road has not always been smooth. Running a business while being a Mom & Wife has its challenges. However, the rewards out way any of the bad. Not to mention the great recession of 2005+. That recession shaped me into an REO Foreclosure, Divorce, and Investment Realtor. I believe in all we go through in life..find what can you learn from that  trial/lesson. There is a lesson in everything! Take the opportunity when it comes.  Although those were tough times I took the opportunity to learn from and add experiences  to what I could offer my clients.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
My business is exclusively for the public to assist with the selling and buying of real property. I find the most joy in assisting people with what they think is impossible. I have had clients cry at the closing table because they thought home ownership was out of their  reach. I have had emotional moments helping a family to stay in their home after facing foreclosure. Yes, they did not have to move. Experience matters and the Realtor you choose matters. The education and service I provide to my clients from testimonials are what sets me apart from others. I have helped newlyweds merge homes,  as well as families that needed the family estate  home sold because Mom & Dad have passed on. As a Realtor, I am placed with a special ministry of helping others. Now I will be teaching future Realtors on the business.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
The DFW area is a great place for a Real Estate Company. Dedication and hard work are must, but if you are willing to put in sweat equity and be sincere/transparent it could be a good business decision. Get involved in different community organizations  and you feel the Texas Love.
