Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacey Sheffield.
Stacey, before we jump into specific questions about your art, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I grew up on the Eastside of Fort Worth TX, I always loved to entertain, music, television, and movies were my outlets. I would play music and reenact favorite parts of TV shows, and movies for my friends all the time. It was always something that came naturally to me and I just love to be creative.
Has it been a smooth road?
I became a father in my early 20’s which was the greatest day of my life but also meant that I had to care for more than just myself. I was programmed that dreams are just dreams so I stopped my pursuit of a being a jazz musician to provide for my son. I am so proud of the person he has become now along with my daughter. They have taught me the maturity I needed to do what I was born to do. Then one day God said it’s time and I’ve been living in faith with my dream ever since.
Please tell us about your art.
I am a Professional Actor, Model, and Musician. I know for trying to inspire others with my life as an example. I’m most proud of the people and the relationships I have made along this journey, and what sets me apart is that I’m truly not in any competition with anyone. Nothing pleases me more than to see people win, yes sure sometimes I wish it was me, but I always go back to my faith and know mines is just around the corner.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
What I love best about Dallas is that it’ so diverse there is always a new experience to be had of you just look. What do I least like about Dallas, the construction lol.
