Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacie Paris.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Stacie. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started my photography journey in 2002 working in a lab and dabbling in nature photography. I gained experience working in a studio in 2007 as well as plenty of second shooting, until 2015 when I made the leap of opening my own photography business.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Nothing worth doing is ever easy. I think the biggest challenge has been the business and marketing side for me. I am first and foremost an artist and I would love to only spend my time shooting and creating. However, if I want to make a living doing what I love, I have to be good at business and marketing as well. Another challenge has been time management as far as owning a business and having a family. I tend to be a workaholic and a perfectionist so I’ve had to learn how to take time for myself and my family. It’s definitely a struggle sometimes.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Stacie Paris Photography – what should we know?
I’m a fine art photographer specializing in children’s portraits. I’m mostly known for photographing little girls in beautiful couture gowns. They always say they feel like princesses and that’s definitely my goal! These are my favorite sessions because they’re so much fun.
I also shoot families, couples, maternity, seniors, women, and men as well as the occasional wedding.
Giving my clients an amazing experience is what I’m all about. I want them to have fun and make amazing memories while they’re with me.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
My husband is my biggest supporter and cheerleader. I don’t know how I got so lucky but I really am lucky to have him in my corner.
I have met so many wonderful photographers who’ve helped me along the way. If I ever have a question about anything all I have to do is ask and these women will help. When I first started, I had a few people take advantage of me which made me feel like I couldn’t trust people. These women I surround myself with now are so amazing. They support other photographers and are all about community over competition.

I have had the pleasure of meeting Stacie. We are members of a neighborhood meet, chat, fellowship and eat group. She has a friendly outgoing personality which is great for working with kids. The Art is awesome, Stacie! Proud of you lady!
