Stephen, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Photography came very naturally to me in the beginning. I got my first camera as a hand me down and immediately began capturing my surroundings, friends and family. I wanted to take pictures of everything I could. Originally, my friends and family were my subjects. They knew that if they came to my home, they would be lined up for an image. I gravitated toward photographing people early into my journey. There is something special about capturing the beauty and uniqueness of an individual. We are our unique stories. The one thing that makes us different – THAT is what I want to capture.
Has it been a smooth road?
There are always challenges when embarking on any journey. At the start of my career, it was difficult to convince anyone outside of my inner circle to trust me with their images and time. Portrait photography can be a highly intimate task as you are asking the individual to be the most honest version of themselves while having an expensive lens and camera 10 feet from them. Eventually, you began to gain their trust and my client based grew consistently as time went on. Today, I pride myself in being able to “pull” the best out of anyone that comes into my studio.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
I am known for creating high-quality portrait photography. I capture everything from individuals, families, establishing models, and corporate. However, my specialty and most adored portion of photography is portraits. My business model is very simple: To capture you in a manner you haven’t seen before. My most proud moments as a photographer come after the shoot. It is when I am reviewing images and I see the complete excitement of my clients as we select our final images together. It is when the excitement takes over as they see themselves in a way they haven’t seen before. That is why I do what I do. It is all about making positive connections with people of all backgrounds and helping them see the best view of themselves.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Dallas is a beautiful city. It is constantly growing, adapting, and evolving. I think it has been a perfect place to create and open a business – especially a creative business.
Pricing:
- My most basic package begin at $175. However, photography is all about the individual – each session is different. I would love to speak to interested parties directly about the package that works best for them.
