Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephen Levin and Maximilian Von Brand.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Stephen and Maximilian. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Max and I co-founded the Lamborghini Club of Dallas in 2015. When trying to coordinate events with a bunch of Lamborghini’s, parking was always an issue. We originally created ParkUpFront as a mobile app much like OpenTable for high-end cars to give the owners the ability to reserve up front parking directly with the valets at upscale venues in DFW. The valet receives a notification that the customer is arriving, a picture of the car, and even the customer’s parking preference: self-park or valet park.
Since launching the app only several months ago, we have over 1,000 local members and about 50 restaurants and bars partnered. We are also noticing that ParkUpFront is beginning to transform into something much larger than just a parking reservation app. ParkUpFront is becoming a community. We have begun to implement an entire section of the app specifically dedicated to car and luxury events, as well as developing a social network functionality that will be rolling out this Spring.
We have also created a monthly event called Restaurant Rally which premieres February 17th in Dallas. The first event sold out within the first 24 hours and will consist of 30 exotic cars, local food bloggers, and a camera crew rallying to three local restaurant partners to experience showcase dishes. There will also be a ParkUpFront “Chopped” event with celebrity chef Trey Wilcox in April.
We look forward to expanding the brand throughout other major cities, starting with Houston with the first Restaurant Rally Houston in April.
Has it been a smooth road?
Creating a business is never as easy as one may think. No matter how great of an idea you have, there will always big highs and lows. We were fortunate to win a large seed accelerator completion early on that helped build the initial momentum. But, there have been countless roadblocks along the way that you must stay positive and never let up.
