Meet Steve Anderson of C & S Locksmith

Today we’d like to introduce you to Steve Anderson.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Steve. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
We are a new company! I created the company with the state of Texas in August 2016. My Wife and I sold our house in Royse City, TX in July 2016. This gave us the capital needed to open a locksmith company. I had originally planned on opening a franchise with a local Dallas locksmith in Tyler Texas. They kept increasing the price for starting with them and we decided it’s in our best interest to start out fresh. My wife and I came up with many different names for the company. In the end, we decided on our first name initials. My wife, Cindy is very supportive of me and that has given me the drive be the best at anything I do. I took the managers test for the PSB (Private Security Board) in November 2016. I studied every day for a month straight before taking the test as the fail rate was 65% for anyone who took the test for the 1st time. I received the pass/fail letter in the mail and my score was 97 out 100. I was very happy! I could now provide locksmith services through my own company instead of working under a locksmith company as an employee. Starting out is very tough! The many hours of work you put in and not see any return is crazy. Cindy and I tried advertising on Facebook, and going to local events in Quinlan, Rockwall, and Royse City. No calls or emails from that marketing. We then took to the web again and created a google my business listing. It takes about 2 weeks to get that started. When it finally went live on Nov 28th 2016 – we got our 1st 3 jobs! From there we joined the Tawakoni Chamber of commerce and created 2 more google my business listings – one in Rockwall and one in Garland. We joined the NARPM to network with other realtors and property managers. We plan on joining the chambers in Rockwall, Royse City, Garland, and Greenville before the end of this year. Our goal is to generate enough leads and revenue to place 6 vans on the road and open two store fronts. We try to make anyone who calls C & S Locksmith happy even if we don’t get their business. Our Foundation is Honesty.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about C & S Locksmith – what should we know?
We operate as a mobile locksmith service. We specialize in Commercial and Residential. We have not purchased tools and supplies to extend into Vehicles or Safes yet, however we can unlock Cars, Trucks, and RV’s. We do offer 24-hour lockout services for homes, businesses and vehicles. We offer a Rekey Special for $69.99 that includes the service call, rekeying up to 6 locks, & provides 4 new keys. (We are the most affordable locksmith for Rekeying houses). $59.99 same service is offered to Property Managers, Realtors, and their referrals. We set ourselves apart from other locksmith companies by just being honest. If we quote you a price – that’s what you pay for. Our prices are set in stone. If we know there is a cheaper way to get a part or a service, we will refer the customer to that store or competitor. Everyone’s time is important. If we cannot get to a customer in 45 mins or less for an emergency call, we will let them know and provide other locksmith numbers to call. In the end, we just want to our customers to be happy.
