Today we’d like to introduce you to Steve Sullivan.
Steve, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Our story began a couple years ago with the introduction of the Ketogenic Diet into our family. After dramatic results in energy, mood, clarity and weight management we were sold! While our four children are not fully “keto” there has been a noticeable change in their moods, behavior and grades since we scaled down sugars and processed foods.
One problem we found ourselves and others with was the lack of quick and easy foods that you can take anywhere, taste great, made us feel good and were all natural. So we started making our own nutrition bars. We noticed that our bars were disappearing faster than we could make them. Our kids, neighbors, co-workers, extended family and all of their friends were soon wanting more!
November of 2017 we decided to create Stoka Nutrition and go into production with the Stoka Bar!
We officially launched in March of this year thinking that this would be a fun side hobby. After only 2 weeks from launching we had orders through the next 3 months and I had quit my job to pursue this full-time.
Fast-forward to now, our bars are found locally at all 3 Sunflower Shoppe locations. We are currently building a new and larger facility in North Fort Worth and will be available in many more retail locations across the country once completed.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have been many obstacles for sure… we went from having zero experience in the food industry or entrepreneur experience to being an Amazon best seller and having our product on retail shelves. There is no manual and I had no idea when we started that there would be a thousand details to cover before we could sell our first bar!

We are a nutrition bar company specializing in All Natural, Low Carb food bars that are sweet and crunchy without any added sugars.
They’re a great on the go snack for any age or diet! Our bars are great for the average person wanting a healthy snack but also fit the Keto, Paleo, Low Carb or Gluten Free diets among others.
We are most proud of the feedback from people with medical dietary restrictions that now have a great tasting sweet snack that they can enjoy. Conditions such as: Diabetes, Epilepsy, Autism, Cancer, Tumors, etc…
