Today we’d like to introduce you to Sunny Duke.
Sunny, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve been a singer and musician ever since I could remember. I’m self-taught in most of the things I currently do, yet I refuse to turn away from a learning opportunity. I also work for Starbucks Coffee (at one of our Reserve Bars), and I have been loving everything about it.
Has it been a smooth road?
One of the major obstacles is getting lost in creativity; not in the sense of constantly creating but the sense of wanting to create and not being able to. Time, money, relationships and health (mental and physical) all are factors in anything and everything: not having enough of them can and does hinder you.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Sunny Marcell Music – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I’m a bassist, singer, songwriter, karaoke jockey and barista. Soon I will also pick the title of student, again. One thing I’m most proud of with what I do is my ability to connect with people and get them, included and involved. I really enjoy interacting with all different kinds of people, I truly believe they help mold us into people we wouldn’t want to be. Whether you’re singing, acting, performing, speaking or observing, having a sense of belonging is something we Alonna crave.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the diversity, the culture, the food and the weather (most days).
