Today we’d like to introduce you to Tad McIntosh.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Tad. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
HumCap was founded in the summer of 2001 because Technology firms in North Texas are always having problems finding, recruiting and hiring the number of technologist they need to meet their technology and growth needs. We also started because companies between 5- employees and 500 employees usually have unserved or underserved needs in HR because they don’t have fully built HR departments.
We hoped by starting our company that we would be able to serve our community and the companies in the DFW Tech market with our expert recruiting and HR services. We also placed high priority on carrying out our HumCap Mission- We Glorify God while helping our clients Win the War for Talent. Our values are Serve with Leadership, Work Heartily, Win as a team, and Improve Constantly.
We live our mission and values in our services in each customer interaction. We strive to partner with companies that align with us and how we see the world to make it better every day while serving the people in our communities.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Wow, not so smooth at times! We retained our first client on September 6, 2001 and received our first retainer checks on Sep 10, 2001.
The next day the world changed and so did our business outlooks. It was a hard first 2 years. Our momentum picked up in 2003 and built quickly until 2007.
In 2008, the outsourced HR and recruiting started changing as the recession began to take effect. The 2008- 2009 year was very hard to stay in business as the client needs were drastically scaled down.
Thankfully, in 2010 the world started to recover from the recession. Due to increased growth in the DFW technology companies and market we have been able to thrive and grow consistently since 2010!
We have been awarded the INC 500/ 5000 6 times in the all the years of the company. It has not been easy but it is worthwhile with the impact we have for clients, communities and candidates.

HumCap is known for helping software companies, IT departments and fast growth companies Win the War for Talent and manage HR well. That yields itself in recruiting services and HR services.
We are recognized in the metroplex as a vital member of the Tech community and the Non for profit support world. We are members and on the Board and highly involved with Tech Titans and The Communities Foundation of Texas.
We are most proud of our giving back to the community as we help our clients grow their business and meet company objectives.
