Today we’d like to introduce you to Tammy Bell.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Tammy. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My story starts with, I had always wanted to own my own flower shop! I had always been the creative mom doing homecoming mums, Cheer Bows, anything that needed to be made, everyone knew they could call me and I could make it!! I talked with my husband and we decided that we were going to take a leap of faith and open my own Shop.
I knew that I wanted to open my shop in the town that I grew up in. My husband, Brad and I both grew up in Sanger and raised our 2 girls here… We wanted to have a business here in Sanger with the small town atmosphere where we would be able to know all of our customers on a personal level. Owning a florist is so much more than just than doing everyday flowers… You take care of Prom Flowers, which I absolutely love to do and I do them for all over the metroplex!!
You take care of Families during their time of loss with flowers, Birthdays, and then my favorite of ALL, WEDDINGS!!!! I love doing weddings. My brides are more than brides to me. They become like my family. We talk, text, almost weekly!! I want my brides to know that they are special to me. I do not want them to ever feel like I am just a vendor to them. I keep in touch in touch with almost all of the brides to this date!
Has it been a smooth road?
Has it been a smooth road? I was told when I first wanted to open my shop that Sanger wasn’t big enough for 2 florists by a local bank. So I went to a different bank that would do my business loan. I guess I proved that Bank wrong!! Because I am still going strong. Btw. The other florist isn’t in business any longer!!
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the T&T Flowers and Gifts story. Tell us more about the business.
I am a Florist. We customize in Weddings. We are here to make our brides day go smoothly without any type of stress when it comes to her floral. We specialize in working with every bride in their own individual budgets. We understand that not every bride has a huge budget and we take pride in working with each one when it comes to her budget. We promise that if a bride has a small budget, her flowers are still going to look as amazing as someone’s that has a large budget.
I believe what sets my business aside from others is that we treat each bride with respect and we do not treat them as a number. We listen to what they have to say. What inspirational pictures they want to go off of. We want to make their day and their ideas comes to life!! I believe what makes me different is that I listen to my brides and most of all is that I truly care about THEM!!!
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
One of the Big Changes coming for T&T Flowers and Gifts is that we are building a brand new shop in Sanger!!!! It’s going to be AMAZING!!!!
We are always learning new trends. I love expanding and love working with New people such as new Wedding Planners, New photographers, etc.. I love meeting new people!! In the next few years, our goal is to be published in the knot with a styled shoot!! Hopefully that may be in the works now!! Shhhh…
