Meet Tammy Demery

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tammy Demery.

Tammy, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was in financial services for 30 years in various roles. American Express, D&B Hoovers, and Capital One were among the corporates as well as participation with various nonprofits. I actually obtained my real estate license eleven years before becoming active in the industry. Residential real estate has always been a passion of mine. My first client was a previous colleague who relocated to Texas and I’ve grown my client base from there. As I’m extremely customer-focused, 99% of my clients to date have originated from customer referrals. Being hands-on with the entire home selling and or buying process is my philosophy. From helping with negotiations, selection of colors & materials, providing additional vendors, decor and more. My clients are not a transaction. I’m fostering long term genuine friendships!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been a smooth road. The transition to entrepreneur has been difficult & enjoyable. I have to prioritize my time differently because of wearing multiple hats. Control of strategy, my personal & professional brand has been most rewarding!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Demery Dallas Living – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
At a high level, I help clients sell and or buy a home. My extensive involvement minimizes the stress associated with the entire process. Sellers & buyers are very busy and that’s where I add tremendous value. I’m consultative and accessible! I manage the number of client engagements at any given time, which has allowed me to receive a 5-star Realtor.com rating. I’m known for going the extra mile with every aspect of the home selling and or buying process. I watch each build project very closely as another example. My clients get the attention to detail desired!

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I’m looking forward to adding more investment properties during 2020. Working in partnership with others to provide affordable housing for first-time homebuyers will be a focus.
