Today we’d like to introduce you to Tan Nguyen.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
Being a Vietnamese first Generation, “America was the land of opportunities” was the saying I’ve heard over and over growing up. I still remember the first day of college, Northern Illinois University, my business professor said “never passed an opportunity to be your own boss”. Well, I took his Advice to heart. After earning my Bachelor degree in business Finance, I pursue a career that is non-related to my studied. I choose to pursue my dream of being a business owner and my passion as a Nails Technician. Venice Nails in North Dallas is my 3rd nails salon that I’ve owned. Venice Nails is projected growth into a million in revenue in 2019 with my hard work and passions. I truly believe in any successful business; the owner has to run it with a passion and caring for their customers in order to make it successful.
Please tell us about your art.
I’m always looking to create more, and giving above and beyond what my clients is looking for. I’m always looking forward to hear their reaction as the end result of their nails. Most of my clients, their nails are their personality, it’s an extension of How to express their personality. It rewarding when I can deliver just that.
What do you think about conditions for artists today? Has life become easier or harder for artists in recent years? What can cities like ours do to encourage and help art and artists thrive?
The market for the Nails business is certainly a lot more competitive. There are nails salon in almost every corner, but not every Nails Salon is run and operate with a passion and place customer satisfaction as their priority.
