Meet Tanner Crow of Crow Customs Construction

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tanner Crow.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I began my career in construction with a custom home theater company that specialized in high end design, acoustical room treatments, and motorized seating systems. I started in the field as an installer and gradually worked my way into the office, eventually serving as a project coordinator overseeing seating projects nationwide. While the role gave me valuable experience in project management and client coordination, I felt a strong pull toward building something of my own.
After many conversations and prayers with my then fiancé, we decided it was the right time to take a leap of faith and start our own construction company. I’ve always had a deep interest in building science and custom homes, particularly projects that prioritize performance, durability, and high quality finishes. Early on, I was fortunate to connect with clients and seasoned contractors who helped guide me and challenged me to raise my standards. Through those relationships, I’ve been able to assemble a trusted team of subcontractors who take real pride in their craft.
Today, I’m focused on growing the business into larger and more complex projects while maintaining a hands on approach, strong communication, and an unwavering commitment to quality and customer service.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I have been extremely blessed in that God has placed many great people in my path to help guide me along the way and great opportunities, but there have been plenty of difficulties. The first contractor I started working when I initially left my job ended up not being able to pay me for several weeks of work. There is also something to be said about finding high quality subcontractors that are dependable and have strong characters. There have been several sub contractors that have left me to clean up and solve problems. This can be difficult, especially when you have a duty to not place these problems on your clients.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Crow Customs Construction ?
