Today we’d like to introduce you to Tara Caldwell.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I enrolled in an Esthetics Program at Ogle School of Hair, Skin & Nails. While attending school, I absolutely fell in love with waxing! Immediately after graduating I began working for European Wax Center. I loved the quick fast paste and the atmosphere, but after a while, I noticed there is no room for growth in the company and I wanted more.
I decided to take on new trades and absorb as much as I could in the industry. I’ve mastered individual eyelash extensions as well as microblading, microneedling and hydro facials under the best trainers in the DFW area. After five years in the industry, I was ready to step out on my own and create my own brand. WAX Spa + Studio has been successfully operating for a year now with many more years to come!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been easy. I’ve struggled numerous times working with different companies feeling like I would never actually be appreciated for the hard work. It taught me if no one wants to clap for you, clap for yourself. Keep going it’ll all pay off one day. Life is going to do what life does, get hard. It’s up to you to keep going or give up and stop.

I define success as being stable and secure within your company. Being able to help others and change lives is a success. When I think success I think being physically, mentally, financially stable.
