Meet Tara Torres of The Pink Anchor in South Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tara Torres.

Tara, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
After I had my first child, I started selling women’s clothes and accessories on social media. I had mostly out of state orders thanks to Instagram. I loved being able to keep inventory at home and print shipping labels from home as well. After I had my second child, (I have three total) I was buying more and more personalized kids clothes from other people. That’s when I decided to buy an embroidery machine and a heat press and start incorporating a few of my own designs to sell. Everyone loves personalized goodies, and I am very thankful for that! My favorite thing to make currently is a bright and colorful name decal for a super cute stainless steel wine tumbler.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Yes, I have loved meeting new customers and the feedback I’ve gotten has been super positive. The encouragement from others makes me love this tiny adventure.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about The Pink Anchor – what should we know?
I make shirts for families going on cruises, or to Disney. I make shirts for drill teams. I’ve done water bottles for school fundraisers. My most recently thing I have done that was super fun to be a part of was making night to shine shirts for my church. It was such an amazing event to be a tiny part of. What sets me apart from others has to be my customer service And my constant need for 1000% customer satisfaction.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I feel like being available and listening to the needs of my customer is most important. They can buy from anybody or anywhere and I want them to be happy long after the purchase.
