Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Bush.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Taylor. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Hey, y’all! I am twenty-two years old! I am a recent graduate from college and I am a registered nurse! I remember watching Grey’s Anatomy before starting my whole nursing school experience and one of the memorable lines of Grey’s Anatomy is from McDreamy saying, “It’s a beautiful day to save lives” because I wanted to have my own Grey moments! Although why I started nursing is a blog post in itself!
However, I sacrificed my whole college experience to spend eight hours or more in a chair studying and pouring over numerous textbooks, countless sleepless nights preparing for clinical or still studying, and many tears through the program! However, I would not change a thing I truly feel God called me to this position and to this day it has been one of my best accomplishments in life! However, I started blogging because I realized I had missed out on so many social engagements and family events, basically, I have been living under a rock for 2.5 years! So, I decided to start blogging to have beautiful keepsake photos that will last me a lifetime and share my interest in fashion, beauty, cooking (I am a food junkie), and my everyday life with you!
Has it been a smooth road?
Blogging is not as easy as it seems. Snapping cute pictures, editing, learning what SEO means, the technical backroads of creating your own website. Those are just some of the many obstacles I have endured when creating my website. However, the easy part has been sharing my memories and tips along the way. I find working in a community than working alone is how one progresses further.
We’d love to hear more about your work.
I remember sitting at my parent’s house telling my boyfriend Sam I just want to create a website for my own personal creative outlet. I realized this was becoming a new way to connect with others and loved the idea of having your own personal space. My boyfriend Sam constructed my new website, www.seauxtailored.com. My blog focuses on fashion and travel. My favorite part about blogging is connecting with other individuals and getting inspired by the community. Working together for an event or meeting other individuals. I am such a people person so I adore getting to know new individuals and what sparks joy for them. I think my blog stands apart from others since I write about my travels and share pictures with things I am currently doing at the moment. I tend to live in the moment and simply want to inspire others to try new things.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Ah, this may be a hard question for me. I recently moved to Dallas, Texas in July. I moved from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and did not know a thing about Texas before moving. So, someone starting out in Dallas, Texas as a blogger, I say go for it. There have been tons of opportunities such as blogger brunches, meetups, workshops on growing your blog, social media events you name it. Also, if you’re interested in becoming a food blogger, I’ve noticed there is almost a food festival every month, ha! However, wherever you start the thing to maintain is being yourself.
