Today we’d like to introduce you to Tenesha Sneed.
Tenesha, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I always knew I wanted to make a difference and make others feel good about themselves. Back home in Shreveport, LA, I took a real interest in the beauty industry. I got my start by making wigs, doing lashes and eyebrow services out of my parent’s home. I enjoyed seeing the reaction I got when my customers saw the finished product. Putting a smile on someone’s face or just making them feel pretty and better about themselves is priceless. It didn’t feel like work or a job to me and that’s when I realized I found my passion and purpose in life.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I moved to Texas and went to beauty school to pursue my new career as an Aesthetician. It definitely was a journey and a lot of sacrifices had to be made. I had to resign from my previous job and that was the hardest thing for me to do. But I’m glad that I took a leap of faith because I’m doing something that I’m passionate about. It takes a lot of tenacity and faith to leap into the unknown. “Difficult roads often leads to beautiful destinations”.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Prettyy Girl Shop – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
Prettyy Girl Shop is a one-stop-shop for all your beauty needs. I specialize in lash extensions. I also offer different types of waxing, brow tint and facial treatments. You name it, I can do it! What I’m most proud of is how much my business has grown even from the things people might call small, it’s an accomplishment and victory for me. I want my clients to feel an experience like never before every time they’re being serviced. I have the knowledge, skills, tools and techniques that bring value to my business. It’s all about the quality and not quantity to maintain your business, nobody wants to feel rushed when it comes to things like their appearance. Good things take time, and what’s done fast doesn’t last! I want each of my clients leaving with the best, most luxurious service possible. That’s what makes repeat customers, rises in clientele, and ultimately the basis of longevity. Having met all my client’s expectations, granting their wishes, and meeting their beauty needs. My motto is “When you look Prettyy you feel Prettyy”.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Prettyy Girl Shop has a bright future ahead. I have plans to advance services by better honing my skills and having top of the line supplies and equipment at the tip of my fingers. Pretty Girl Shop is going to be absolutely mind-blowing, an oasis of beauty exploding at the seams! I am taking steps toward and planning to expand my business to the point where I and my business become world renown, making PGS a household name and being the “Go-To Girl” when somebody has specific ideas and/or concepts concerning their beauty wants and needs. In 2020, there will be major changes and opportunities along the way. I will have training classes in the near future to teach and be a guide to other future aesthetics connoisseurs, sharing my knowledge and experience of being an Aesthetician. I hope I inspire others just like me to go after their dreams and take a leap of faith.
