Today we’d like to introduce you to Terry Brown. He and his team shared their story with us below:
Meet Terry Brown, a Mississippi native turned Texan entrepreneur who is passionate about capturing and sharing stories through the lens of a camera. As the founder of Larrjo Media, a minority-owned company specializing in photography, videography, and social media content, Terry uses his talents to help individuals and businesses alike tell their unique stories in a visually captivating way, infusing it with the warmth and hospitality of Southern culture.
Growing up in Mississippi, in the rural lands, Terry developed a deep appreciation for the beauty of the world around him, and this appreciation only grew stronger after traveling & moving around the states to places like NYC. With a keen eye for detail and a natural talent for storytelling, photography, and videography, Terry is building a successful career out of helping others capture and share their own unique perspectives.
Whether it’s through stunning photography or engaging videos, Terry is dedicated to helping his clients tell their stories in a way that is both compelling and authentic.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
No, it has not been an easy road. There have been many obstacles and challenges along the way. Lost my mother in 2009, which lead to the name and brand of the company, became a nomad for a year, went completely broke chasing the dream, struggled mentally for years because I always knew I had much more to give, Moved to the Big Apple “NYC” only knowing one person, and had to create a new life from nothing. So many obstacles along the way, but these obstacle helped shaped me into what I am today.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a videographer, photographer, and editor. I specialize in real estate videography, interviews, and creative video for social media. I help people tell their stories through digital content. I am most proud of how far the brand has come and where it’s headed. I think what sets me and my brand apart is my ability to capture the essence of who my clients are and our ability to create a space where people are comfortable enough to be fully authentic.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up.
My favorite childhood memory growing up, was hanging with my parents on Saturday mornings. “Every Saturday morning, my mother and father would bring me along to yard sales as they looked for vintage furniture and afterwards, we would go to my favorite breakfast spot at that time called “southern grill.” Southern grill had some of the best bacon, eggs, and grits. Whenever I tagged along to yard sales, I knew there was always a good breakfast to follow.
