Tiffani, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Whew!!!
It started out as a business out my trunk-Lavish Boutique & Bundles. I sold hair bundles, swimwear all sizes and mostly catered to plus size since it was non existent. After two years I wanted a location but got hit with life obstacles; became a single parent of 4; learning to be on my own again and finding myself. But more blessings flowed after stepping out on faith. I learned and grew spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically, and found peace. Soon a new friendship developed that became a new true love which spoke volumes into my vision of my business and The Lavish Lounge was birthed. With the help of my family/friend Shannette Taylor and now fiancé we developed a plan to get the business up and running. I took over the property in December 2017 and had a successful Grand Opening in March 2018.
Has it been a smooth road?
Lack of support sometimes is traumatizing, but knowing I have friends, family, and strangers that rock no matter makes business amazing. They are my inspiration to keep going.
Being self-funded can be both good and bad also. Sometimes don’t have the capital you truly want but you are completely debt free without any loans above your head.

We are a full-service salon boutique which makes pampering and shopping a One Stop Shop. The Lavish Lounge is a hidden gem in Desoto, Texas that’s upscale and relaxing with a laid back vibe. You will see very feminine colors, decor and pieces throughout the location.
Stylist Shannette Taylor and Braider Brooke Bailey can get you in and out with a style or braids while you sip complimentary margaritas any day of the week.
After you are done with your hair Brittany McMillan can assist you with lashes or teeth whitening.
While pampering you can check out our latest clothing, swimwear and accessories to complete your look for any event.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Yes, it’s a great location for my business I just wish more people would shop local-so many hidden gems right here versus online.
