Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Beaudine.
Hi Tiffany, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My background was in communications and public relations, but my heart has always been with serving children. I wanted to be somewhere professionally that I knew I was making a difference. So, I sought began seeking out opportunities with local nonprofit organizations who were serving children where I could use my strengths and background in communications. I found my perfect match with Rainbow Days. I started as the Development Coordinator twenty-five years ago and now I am the CEO. I love everything about Rainbow Days. I love what we stand for, who we serve and how we help vulnerable children, youth and families. I love the amazing curriculum we have created and the impact that it has in children’s lives. I love how we partner with other over 100 schools, shelters and community-based organizations to meet real and felt needs. I love how we make an impact beyond Dallas by training other adults in our curriculum so they in turn can help children and youth in their own communities. I love my amazing, dedicated staff who pour their heart and soul into the work that we do each day. I love my Board, volunteers and donors who invest their time, talent and resources into our mission. Most of all, I love the impact that we are making in the lives of children and youth in our community and the incredible success stories they share with us each day. My hope and wish for the future is that every child in every school could benefit from being in a Rainbow Days support group and building a relationship with one of our staff members. This could truly transform not only our entire school system, but our whole society.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The organization has faced many exciting opportunities and many challenges over its 43-year history. One ongoing challenge is financial sustainability and exploring new sources of funding to fuel our work. As a nonprofit organization, we rely on the generosity of community members, foundations and grants to make our mission and impact possible. With the continual changing landscape in funding and our uncertain economy, it requires nonprofits like Rainbow Days to be nimble, flexible and innovative in our approach.
I was promoted to CEO during Covid in the spring of 2020. It was a very wild ride for about two years of non-stop change and uncertainty with constant pivoting to meet the needs of those we serve, having certain long-term funding reduced and gaining new funding, and exploring new opportunities to serve the community. It has required a steadfast commitment to our mission, core values and unwavering effort to press forward during the challenging times.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Rainbow Days is a Dallas-based nonprofit organization that has been transforming the lives of children and youth facing adversity since 1982. Our mission is to help children and youth in adversity build coping skills and resilience to create positive futures. Our participants develop the essential coping skills they need to create positive futures, no matter the challenges they face. We do this by providing evidence-based social-emotional learning groups, behavioral health prevention programs, family support services, and life-enrichment experiences for youth experiencing homelessness, poverty, family instability, or other significant hardships.
What we are known for, and what truly sets Rainbow Days apart is our nationally recognized Curriculum-Based Support Group (CBSG®) Program, an evidence-based SEL curriculum created by Rainbow Days and now used in more than 40 states and multiple countries. This innovative model allows children to process their experiences, build healthy coping strategies, practice emotional safety, and gain confidence in a supportive, small-group environment led by trained, trauma-informed facilitators.
Rainbow Days not only helps meet basic needs, but we also go deeper by addressing the cognitive, social, and emotional development of vulnerable children. We fill a critical gap for youth who often fall through the cracks, children in shelters, motels, transitional living programs, low-income schools, and recovery centers. In 2025 alone, Rainbow Days served more than 30,000 children and youth, and since our founding, we have impacted over 300,000 young lives.
We are proud to be recognized as a trusted leader in prevention education, resilience-building, and trauma-informed youth programming. Our brand represents hope, healing, connection, and the unwavering belief that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive.
We want readers to know that Rainbow Days is committed to meeting children where they are, emotionally, developmentally, and geographically, and equipping them with the skills, support, and encouragement they need to rise above adversity. Whether through support groups, motivational presentations, camp experiences, or family outings, our programs help kids feel seen, valued, and capable of creating brighter futures.
Most importantly, we want our community to know: When you support Rainbow Days, you aren’t just giving to a program, you’re investing in a child’s future. And that investment can change the trajectory of an entire life.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I don’t really believe in luck. I think that everything happens for a reason. Hardship and failure are some of the greatest teachers. They are what help us to develop grit, fortitude and resiliency. I believe that even when bad things happen that are outside of our control, these experiences provides us with an opportunity to grow, develop character and refine our purpose. For most of the good things that happen in our lives, I believe that if it is in our control, then it is because of a wise decision we made or due to our own persistence, hard work, decision-making, diligence, resolve or teamwork or if it is outside of our control, then it is a blessing from above for which we should be thankful.
