Meet Tiffany Hendra of Sanctuary Of Style and The Coaching Sanctuary™ in Addison

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Hendra.

Tiffany Hendra inspires women to live their most authentic, healthy, purposeful and courageous lives. She is a wife, TV personality, empowerment life coach, creator of the YouTube Channel, Sanctuary Of Style which has graduated into The Coaching Sanctuary™, an empowerment company for women. But, Tiffany was not always living a purposeful and empowered life. As a young woman, she experienced bullying, physical abuse and sexual assault which spiraled her down into a dark life of self-destruction and drug/alcohol abuse. In 2002, Tiffany hit rock bottom and met God on a bathroom floor in West Hollywood. This was the beginning of a long spiritual journey that would transform her mess into her message. Healing and reprogramming negative belief systems ignited a passion to help women around the world do the same. She found her purpose or her purpose found her.

In 2014, after living and working in Los Angeles for over 16 years, Tiffany and her hubby, Australian singer-songwriter, Aaron Hendra took a leap of faith and moved to Tiff’s home state of Texas. This opened the door for a once in a lifetime opportunity for Tiffany to be inducted into the Bravo housewives sorority as a season one cast member on Real Housewives Of Dallas. Tiffany claims this experience was both the most difficult and most rewarding of anything she’s done in her career. “RHOD pushed me way beyond my comfort zone and forced me to take a deeper look at myself and my value system. I’m grateful for the intense struggle of being under a microscope because I gained a stronger sense of self from it. Plus, it gave me laser-lucid clarity on my mission to empower women and help them discover a stronger sense of who they are and what their destined path is!”

Whether it’s 1:1 coaching, workshops, online courses or television appearances, her mission is to help women live in freedom by taking their power back, finding their voice, cultivating courage, harnessing their gifts and loving themselves — body, mind and spirit.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My journey has not been an easy path and I would not have it any other way! I believe in taking the road less traveled and grateful for all the potholes, detours, narrow lanes, closed bridges and wrong turns. As a child, I was stubborn yet sensitive, a leader yet very empathetic, creative yet super organized and introverted yet loved group activities like cheerleading, sports and school plays. I guess you could say I was a walking contradiction so it caused me to second-guess myself and compare myself to others. Struggles, on a deeper level, began in late elementary to middle school with my identity and sense of self. Being of mixed Japanese-European ancestry, I dealt with was racial bullying even though I lived in a racially diverse town outside of Houston, TX. It wasn’t until my mid-20’s while becoming a successful international model that I began to embrace and appreciate my mixed look which was actually a bonus in the fashion world.

But, the biggest struggle I had to overcome was being raped at 16. From 16-31 years old, I buried this secret and didn’t tell a soul. Secrets slowly kill and that’s exactly what it was doing to me. Throughout my 20’s, I appeared to have an impressive career traveling the world, but internally– I lived in shame and hated myself. I was on a path to a slow suicide of drugs, alcohol, over-working, eating disorders, RX medications, dating toxic men and promiscuous behavior. Then, God met me on that bathroom floor and the trajectory of my life changed.

Again, I am grateful for all the struggles for they have given me strength and clarity of my life’s work!

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Sanctuary Of Style and The Coaching Sanctuary™ – what should we know?
My brand and business consists of many aspects and began with the blog and YouTube Channel, Sanctuary Of Style which was geared to enriching the lives of women in the areas of beauty, style, health/wellness and spiritual growth. Now, it has graduated into an empowerment company called The Coaching Sanctuary™ specializing in 1:1 spiritual empowerment life coaching. Let me explain what that means — the strategy of my coaching business is founded in helping women realign with their Higher Power and nurture their spirit first. That is where true lasting transformation takes place! Then, we move on to their self-love practice, health and wellness and cultivating courage which leads to an increase in confidence. I also guide mission-driven entreprenrial women to develop their voice and elevate their brand with the power of video just as I did on YouTube with Sanctuary Of Style.

What sets my company apart from a typical life coaching company is also what I’m most proud of — it’s built on a foundation of spiritual principles. When a woman is “blocked”, not loving herself, living in shame and afraid to use her voice or make herself visible — it is a disconnection from God and her own spirit. Just like I was!

My current projects are:

After helping several Sanctuary Of Style viewers battling cancer to feel more confident undergoing chemo and losing their hair, I am launching a fashion line, under my name, starting with my signature accessory, the headscarf. Many women love this look but have trouble styling it themselves so I’ve designed a scarf that gives them this chic look without the hassle. The mission behind this line is to support several women’s organizations, locally and globally, from breast cancer, addiction, eating disorders, abuse and sex trafficking by donating a portion of the annual sales and partnering with these charities to raise funds and awareness. The scarves will be available online at tiffanyhendra.com.

I have partnered with a team of like-minded women to host “Rock The Camera VIP” workshops to empower women in the areas of on-camera presence, speaking, makeup and wardrobe for camera held at On-Air Media, a world-class studio here in Dallas. The team consists of Melissa Plaskoff, executive producer and founder of On-Air Media, celebrity makeup artist Daniela Bell, fashion stylist Alex Cohen and myself.

As multi-passionate entrepreneurs, my hubby and I believe in multiple streams of income and have become health and wellness advocates empowering others on their health journey. Over the past few years, Aaron and I both battled health issues from leaky gut, adrenal fatigue, dehydration and a clogged lymphatic system due to stress and lack of knowledge about food and supplements. We feel better than ever and now live a plant-based and alcohol-free lifestyle. It takes health, vibrancy and energy to live out our purpose so our philosophy is that our health is our true wealth!

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
There is not a shadow of a doubt that I would be where I am today, living in freedom and creating a life and business around my passions and giftings if it was not for my faith and realignment with God. It took me nearly killing myself to learn how to harness my own energy and creativity by reconnecting with a Higher Power. We are all destined with a specific set of unique qualities, gifts and talents. Today’s woman has the freedom to be a multi-passionate entrepreneur and try anything that lights her up. When women are “lit up” and expressing themselves fully– the world shifts!
