Today we’d like to introduce you to Timothy Ramsey.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Timothy. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I come from a musical family Bass & Drums have always been around me my whole life. Still, I never took either one as serious as my older brothers or how my fathers did, until May 9th of 2016 right before I turned 17 on the 20th, my Brother Matt Ramsey was on tour with Kirk Franklin & he had a couple of days. Hence, he surprised us and came home & asked me if I wanted to go to guitar center with him & my other brother Nich, I went we seen a bass that sounds amazing. It was only 80 bucks & Matt asked me if I wanted it my response was “ion know man I’m more so interested in hearing you play” he said “that’s not what I asked you lol do you want this bass” I said sure why not & my whole life changed from that point forward. 2016 I spent at the house learning, 2017 I started playing in church, 2018 I started playing with artists such as Brian Courtney Wilson, Jonathan McReynolds, Koryn Hawthorn & many more, the rest is history.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been very smooth for the most part, thanks to my amazing Mom & Dad & Brothers who have supported me tremendously. Any discouragement or fear ive had in the past, I have overcome it by the grace of God & Pushing myself.
Please tell us about your music.
I’m my own business! I specialize in Bass playing, Studio sessions, Live Shows, whatever the situation or Genre of music is I’m sure I can handle it I’ve trained myself to adapt to whatever environment I go into, What sets me apart from others is my discipline & Hunger for more Spiritually & Musically theses past five months I have been a true student to the game and I love every bit of it.
