Meet Tina Wolf of W.E.B. Permaculture

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tina Wolf.

Hi Tina, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My story begins with a Springtime Beekeeping class given by a dear friend, Charles Shipp. I felt an affinity for Bees right away. Our class included the installation of bees into a hive, which was exhilarating! However, our bees froze to death that first winter.
My new passion for bees led me to research a hive that would insulate our bees from the cold, which would also benefit them in our extremely hot summers. What I landed on was the Lazutin Stationary Horizontal Hive. It wasn’t available to purchase so I had to build my own.
Bees need food and water, as well as, shelter so I moved on to researching pollen and nectar sources and landed on Permaculture. Regenerative Landscaping introduced me to rain water catch systems for clean water and greywater systems to be used by plants so, I studied to become a Certified Permaculture Designer. I’ve since gained a lot of information from Paul Wheaton and the many folks at Permies.com, which happens to be the largest permaculture forum in the world.
My next field of study was to become a Collin County Master Gardener to study more about gardening locally. These friends introduced me to Irrigation leading to my becoming a Licensed Irrigator.
W.E.B. Permaculture was created to share nature focused regenerative landscaping with others. We currently include Drainage and Landscape Lighting along with Permaculture, Regenerative Landscaping, Rainwater Catch and Greywater Systems.
We are constantly studying, learning new techniques and updating our methods to provide the best services for our customers.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t necessarily been the smoothest road although each hurdle has contributed to better quality and services provided by W.E.B. Permaculture.
Many friends offered encouragement and tutoring as we kept going using tenacity, fortitude, and a lot of hard work. We downsized extremely as I studied, built up the business slowly, and avoided business debt. It took time, of course, to learn the skills necessary to provide our services but I was motivated to leave a green company for my son so I knew W.E.B. Permaculture would succeed.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about W.E.B. Permaculture ?
