Today we’d like to introduce you to Tinesha Davis.
Tinesha, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
In 2017, when I had my son, I decided that I was going to pursue all the dreams I hadn’t in life one at a time! I never would’ve thought that in 2019, I would officially be a business owner but here I am! When I was younger, I wanted to go to cosmetology school and because I attended a 4-year university I wasn’t able to go because I made the decision to get my degree in psychology! But I wasn’t happy! I would see so many people in the beauty industry killing and here I was working jobs climbing the ladder to not be happy. So, when I moved to Texas in May of 2019, I said I won’t fulfill anyone else dream, it was all about what I wanted to do to make a better life for me and my son Ethan and do what makes me happy, once I prayed and was okay with my decision, The Pedicure Prima came to life in June 2019!
Has it been a smooth road?
Oh, no way! It’s been super rough with the setup and money for products but my family and friends have been super supportive financially and emotionally and I have been able to get set up!

So, the Pedicure Prima is a pedicure only spa and I have nine amazing pedicures that you can choose from! What I’m proud of most is the fact that I make my own product (foot scrub) made from organic products and they are amazing!!! What sets me apart is that I only do foot care. A lot of nail technicians hate doing feet and I love it! To take someone’s feet from yikessssss to amazing is so enjoyable! Especially since we are in a state where it’s a warm majority of the time no one wants to see chipped toes and cuticle hanging! Not a good look.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
This state is the best place for a business like mine! Majority of the year people are in sandals and even if they are not foot care is really important! I’m from Ohio where people don’t think it’s important in the winter because their feet are in socks and boots but that is when you should hike up the foot care when your feet are sweaty! Everyone can benefit from good care to your feet! I pick the best scrubs, soaks, lotions! I recommend anyone starting out to start here, the city is supportive and I know once I get a better grasp on networking, I’ll never have an opening!
