Meet Tisha Corcoran of TC MAKEUP in Casa Linda Plaza

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tisha Corcoran.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Tisha. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was raised in an entrepreneurial home, so I always wanted to have my own business and pave a path for others. I completed my bachelor’s degree at the University of Texas in Arlington, but in my heart always loved makeup. So, I attended makeup school and the rest is history. My three passions came together, the love of business, makeup and people. I created TC MAKEUP in 2009, and have continued to grow the Trust of our community and strive to provide excellent services. This determination led to the beautiful location we have today located in East Dallas.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There is never a smooth road, but obstacles are set before you to make you or break you. I choose to learn from those obstacles and continue to push and grow through them. I strive to be the solution provider, if there is a problem let’s not harp on the problem but how can we fix or resolve the issue. When building the current studio, we had several issues arise, but those adversities allowed me to create a space that is beautiful for women and peaceful. A place to relax, enjoy and celebrate overall beauty.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about TC MAKEUP – what should we know?
We specialize in makeup application and hairstyling for all occasions. There are several different branches of our business such as bridal, senior portraits, corporate head shots, prom, special events and production work for large companies. What sets us apart in my opinion is our studio, our services, our team talent, our work ethic, and customer service. There are many talented artists in the dfw area, the hope is TC MAKEUP will be the home for many talented, motivated and driven artists.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
The success of this company was influenced by many and took a lot of hard work from a few. First, I always need God. This is how I have strength, courage and motivation to continue to journey on with my dreams. My parents who owned franchises for over 50 years allowed me to witness the dedication, sacrifice, work and time it took to build something great. My family and teammates are my motivators, cheerleaders, strength givers, love providers and support. Without them this journey would have been hard and lonely and I am grateful for each and every one of them. I work extremely hard to make sure they have a platform to do what they love and create beautiful work for others.
