Today we’d like to introduce you to TK Kader.
Thanks for sharing your story with us TK. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was born in Bangladesh and moved to New York at age ten. I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart and started my first company while in college at RPI, a private school in Upstate New York. By the time we were graduating college, our company was acquired and before the ink on our diplomas were dry we were shipping out to California to work for the company that bought ours.
After spending a couple of years in California, I missed the East Coast. And so I moved back to work for Ray Dalio’s Bridgewater Associates, one of the best hedge funds in the world.
Bridgewater was an incredible experience and I got to work on some early projects that are mentioned in Ray Dalio’s book, Principles. However, I still wanted to build a company. And so I packed my bags again, moved back to California and started a company called ToutApp, where we made sales engagement software. ToutApp grew from my 2nd bedroom apartment to a multi-million dollar company and was backed by Andreessen Horowitz, one of the best venture capital firms in the world.
ToutApp was then acquired by Marketo, which was then backed by Vista Private Equity, one of the best private equity funds in the world. I took on an executive role at Marketo, ran Europe, ran Australia, ran Corporate Strategy and M&A and helped in transforming the company which led to Adobe purchasing Marketo for $4.75bn in 2018.
After an incredible 10+ year stint as a technology entrepreneur and executive, and after living in New York and California, I decided Texas was next. I moved to the Dallas area in early 2019 to lay the groundwork for my next company where we help people become unstoppable in their lives and business.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It takes years of hard work before you’re ever recognized as an overnight success. There were incredible ups and downs through my journey of entrepreneurship — but through those road bumps, I grew in ways I never thought was possible. I’ve had to do layoffs, I’ve gone through a divorce, and I’ve had to manage pivots in the business. Through all of it, I learned that there is always a way forward to success as long as you don’t give up. This sets the groundwork for Unstoppable, where we teach that belief x discipline can help you accomplish your wildest goals in your life and business.

Every business is as strong as its leader.
