Today we’d like to introduce you to Tony Banda.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Everything started 5 years ago, I’ve always liked guns, one day I couldn’t find gear for my personal gun and decided to go thru the web and find out how to make one for myself.
Well, I started using my wife’s oven and then I kept on making them for my friends and family members.
One day, a friend of mine told me that these were really hot in the market and I should look into selling them. Which I started doing, started selling off eBay.
Then worked myself up to local customers and my best friend has been Facebook, I just happened to make an investment towards my website last year because I didn’t really need it but people that didn’t have Facebook wanted my product and had to open the door for them also.
I started in a 1 car garage in Duncanville, now I’m in a 2 car garage in my very own home and in the further I would like to have a store and able to be open for costumers to just come in and buy what they want.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing in this life is easy as we all know.
What I have done it has been done by sleeping just 2 hours a day for 4 years, I recently because full time in February and there is no easy task becoming your own boss.
A1CustomTac – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My business consists of gun holsters and nowadays with everything going on of course, I might get negative and positive feedback.
I customize kydex holsters, they’re made out of a thermoplastic material which is plastic if we prefer to call it like that.
It also need plenty of patience on making them and providing the best product to my costumer.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest and it will be always….
When I’m outside, eating with my family or just pumping gas, people recognize who I am.
