Tony, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was putting together a curriculum for License To Carry classes as I was about to start teaching those courses. In putting together the class notes I realized that it was important to include a section about holsters. At the time, there was only one person selling or making hybrid holsters and they were very expensive. My wife was doing leather art so we had some leather around the house. I ordered a piece of kydex material and made my own holster because I was too cheap to buy one. I had more than one carry gun and didn’t want to make 2 holsters so I made the kydex pieces interchangeable. I then realized that the only other hybrid holster available did not offer that feature. I made a few for some friends and then created a very basic website and orders started coming in. The rest as they say is history.
So from being cheap and lazy, we created a new niche in the holster market. Over time we have become the go to place for custom images and colors on your daily carry holster as well as the best place to find holsters for guns with light and laser attachments that most companies don’t offer. We have made custom holsters for Nolan Ryan and Former Governor Rick Perry. We have been going strong for 6 years now and have lots of plans for new products coming up in the future. This year we are focusing on our dealer program and getting these holsters in the stores so people can pick it up locally without waiting for us to make them.
This is a super fun and friendly industry. The most surprising part of this business has been our customer base. They are extremely loyal, helping spread the word and grow our business. The gun industry has some of the nicest customers I have ever dealt with in any industry I have worked in. I feel very blessed to be able to do something this fun every day and make a good living at it.
Has it been a smooth road?
There have definitely been ups and downs as the gun market has shifted over the years. More competition spurs grater innovation from us and we love that as well. It keeps us fresh and keep us innovating as well.

I absolutely would refer anyone starting a business to the Dallas area as a great place to be. Almost anything you need from supplies, materials, advertising, professional services, contractors, employees, etc., are all available locally. That level of convenience makes running a business in Dallas much much easier.
