Alexis, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started off being known as the girl who had a different hairstyle everyday whether it had been at work or at school. So many wanted to know what I did to switch it so much so instead of repeating myself verbally over and over, I decided why not start recording and showing people how I switch up my look so much!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been a smooth road, I became very discouraged at times. My advice would be to keep pushing no matter what, you may not see the places you could go but there’s definitely light at the end of the tunnel.

I am YouTube and hair enthusiast. All things beauty whether it be hair, makeup, skin and more. As far as my brand, I’m the proudest of how universal it is, I don’t just cater to a certain type of audience, women of all hair types, skin colors/types and more. Most are very entertained by my brutal honesty and comments, never trying to impress, just giving the real tea on everything!
Do you recommend any apps, books or podcasts that have been helpful to you?
My favorite apps are headspace, buffer, and the music app. Those 3 keep my life running smoothly.
