Avani, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My journey as an Interior Designer began in 2005 after I completed my Masters in Business Administration and during my first year of marriage to my husband, Kuntesh. I started Interior decorating as a hobby, and after having two incredible children (boys) Dhruv and Krish, I decided to start my decor/design company known as Lone Star Elements, LLC. as a home stager in 2012. I had a fantastic start of my business with staging homes to remodeling homes, helping client decorate their dream homes and getting opportunities to decorate for a corporate party to weddings, etc. Finally, in 2015, I started http://www.FashionBeautyDecor.com blog dedicated to being a source of inspiration for women and young girls who love fashion, beauty, home decor, and family life. Here, I give ideas and tips on how to bring beauty into your everyday life! Quickly, I started to be noticed by major brands & then went from a hobby to a business and I feel so blessed that it has become my full-time job for almost a year. Throughout my career since 2012, I feel so honored to be featured by BFRow @ NYFW, Pottery Barn Stores, StyleCON as an Influencer, and in local DFW magazines like Plano Profile Magazine as an Interior Designer.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Running a business is always like a roller coaster and is not a smooth journey. There are always challenges and obstacles along the way. But, at the end of the day – what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger than ever before! My advice to the women who are starting out is to take the high road and follow your passion and NEVER give up, as life is a marathon, not a sprint!
In short – be creative, work hard, stay positive, never give up and be willing to take risks!

Let me start with Lone Star Elements – Lone Star Elements specializes in Interior Designing, Redesigning, Event Decorating, and Color Consulting. Although we have hands-on experience in multiple areas in the industry, I can confidently say that we are known for staging homes!
And FashionBeautyDecor.com blog name says it all. But in a few words, it is a great source of inspiration for women of all ages who love fashion, beauty, home decor, and lifestyle.
Being a blogger and Interior designer, I’m proud of being able to influence so many wonderful women from all over the world to choose to follow me and my daily life to see what I’m up to or what I’m wearing. It’s an honor to be able to provide inspiration and create memories for my clients and followers every day. And in return, I feel inspired myself.
Do you feel like there was something about the experiences you had growing up that played an outsized role in setting you up for success later in life?
Yes. Absolutely! My Mom is a Fashion designer and has always been my inspiration. My Dad owned a textile mill, so I was always surrounded by creativity and learning about trends in the fashion Industry. Hence, although I graduated with Masters in Business Administration, I decided to pursue a career in Interior Design, that inspired me to start a blog.
I originally started my blog as a resource to share decor tips for my clients and/or potential clients. It was more of a guide for my readers, family, and friends to follow. Not long after I started my blog, my fashion and beauty social media posts started seeing more and more traffic on my blog and social and I started receiving fashion and beauty related questions from women all over the world. They were more interested in what top I was wearing or what shade of lipstick I had on than getting tips on ‘How to stage your house to sell quickly.’ And that’s really what sparked the idea to change my focus and make Fashion Beauty Decor more of a fashion blog.
