Meet Trailblazer Caitlin Doyle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Caitlin Doyle.

Caitlin, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have moved around a lot in my eighteen years of life. In that time, I have learned the importance of keeping up a lifestyle that you love and surrounding yourself with people who build you up and give off positive vibes. When I moved to Rockwall, Texas, I got introduced to the company Racquet and Jog. As someone who has involved athletics in their everyday life, a sporting store like Racquet and Jog carried products that I consistently used. However, the thing that drew me the most was the staff there.

As an employee of Racquet and Jog, I can confidently say that the environment we work to create will have you leaving with what you came in to purchase, but also a feeling of belonging due to the personal connection we make with the customers that we come across each day. In regards to Arbonne, I have become really conscious in recent years of what I was putting in my body. But, growing up, I was always encouraged to watch what products I used on my skin and be selective with what kind of food is put into my body. In August of 2019, I was introduced to Arbonne by a woman I worked out with. From there, I fell in love with the products and the company and signed on to be an independent consultant.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I don’t believe anything is a smooth road per se. However, I do believe that a hard work ethic can make the road smoother. That being said, starting off with my Arbonne business was not easy and it required commitment and a lot of effort. Like anything in life, you get what you give. I struggled with managing my time as a college student with a lot of extracurriculars and two jobs. If I give any piece of advice, it is to grant yourself grace when you make mistakes and slip up. We’re all human and have the tendency to forget things or have lazy moments. What matters is you forgive yourself for doing that and bouncing back with even more gusto! Also, GET A PLANNER! That helped me out so much.

We’d love to hear more about Arbonne and Racquet & Jog.
Racquet & Jog and Arbonne are both equally important to me. Arbonne is a company that empowers others to improve their health and wellness. As a consultant, I encourage my clients to live their best life and shift their shopping to pure, safe, and beneficial products. I myself use our RE9 Advanced Prepwork line for my skincare regimen and incorporate a lot of our nutrition products into my daily life. Arbonne just became a certified B corporation and we pride ourselves on banning more than 2,000 ingredients in all of our products, whereas the FDA only bans 11.

Racquet & Jog is a sporting goods store that has been in Rockwall for about three years and they carry everything from running shoes from brands like Brooks, Adidas, Hoka, and On Running to lifestyle wear from Billa Bong and Patagonia. We pride ourselves on giving our customers a unique shoe-fitting experience and making you feel a personal connection with our staff. When you walk into our store, we don’t try to offer you a sale but rather a service. We don’t care as much about the purchase as we do about the friendships we develop with the people in our community.

So much of the media coverage is focused on the challenges facing women today, but what about the opportunities? Do you feel there are any opportunities that women are particularly well positioned for?
As stated in the question, so much media coverage is focused on the challenges women are facing today. However, every day we gain more opportunities. Due to the feminist movement that’s been in motion for the past few years, women have more opportunities than ever. Our pay is rising to be equal to that of men’s pay and we are seeing more and more women in leadership positions. Women have so much to offer to the workforce. Our point of view and view of the world in its entirety is sometimes different than a man’s point of view. Therefore we provide an alternate view. We also come with strong communication and networking skills. Women as a whole are social beings. But, on the other side of that coin, we’re also really good listeners.

Our womanly sixth sense allows us to pick up on unspoken words and emotions and in turn decode them to assist and provide clarity to a situation. Our sensitivity, emotional intelligence, and “womanly” instincts help to round out the assets available to the workforce as a whole, and while women are sometimes viewed as overly emotional, we also are the people who inspire optimism and positivity. I really believe women are particularly well positioned for jobs that require multitasking and connecting with people. Human Resources and Sales are two good areas for women to apply their skills to.
