Jeannette, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Of course! Thank you for the opportunity to share. I am the CEO of JKKRIS Konsulting, a Purpose Strategist, with a focus on Social Media and Brand Strategy. I specialize in social media makeovers via Graphic design. I am the Founder of Fearless Millennial; a NEW community for the up and coming Millennial entrepreneur, professional, influencer, creator and speaker of faith. (and those who serve the millennial community). Through workshops, community, free weekly virtual bible studies and events, I help the up and coming learn how to strategize and build their businesses on the foundation of God as their CEO.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
When stepping out on faith, it’s never easy. Not only do you deal with the harsh criticism of the general public, but, you deal with the reality that those that are closest to you are the ones that are likely to support you. What I can say, is that following God is simple, not easy. If it were easy, God wouldn’t need to use us to show others how possible it is. We wouldn’t have a purpose in this life. God wants us to allow him to use us in any way He sees fit. Especially through Entrepreneurship, aka the Kingdom Marketplace. We are made to be successful, Deuteronomy 8:18. How can we expect be the lender and no longer the borrower if we continue to fall victim to the spirit of poverty and lack? Once I realized that my business wasn’t my business at all, and that God was the one in charge, my mindset shifted. God was in charge of my pricing, the layout, set up, marketing and strategy, which then freed me up to enjoy what I was doing. I felt less stressed about the logistics of how things would work out. I knew that they would work out because when you commit yourself, business and whatever you do to God, he WILL establish your plans, Proverbs 16:3. Moving with God as the CEO, is the best and most effective business strategy I could not only practice, but teach other millennial entrepreneurs like myself.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Fearless Millennial – what should we know?
Through the Fearless Millennial community, I am most known for the events I’ve hosted and the weekly virtual bible studies called The Fearless Word. Fearless Millennial events are not your average networking event. At our events, we not only come together to connect with other like-minded entrepreneurs of faith, but we share and strategize together all we are set out to do in entrepreneurship with the word of God. Goal setting, Accountability, Business Strategy, Marketing, etc. These events are special because each detail is prayed over and put together with God at the forefront. Success is inevitable IF you’re doing it GOD’s way, and not your own way. The Fearless Word is built through Fearless Millennial. “His word Our Way”. Daily, a scripture of the day is posted on IG @thefearlessword_ and in our GroupMe community along with a daily devotional. Weekly, a topic is chosen by God to fall in alignment with entrepreneurship and a bible study is hosted online via a virtual classroom. This is done so you can enjoy learning the word of God with other millennials in an open setting, discussion style and connect it to entrepreneurship! Under JKKRIS Konsulting, I specialize in graphic design. I create flyers, customize graphics for social media makeovers as well as social media consulting for effective marketing strategy, social media growth with appropriate target marketing and brand awareness strategy. I get to know each and every one of my clients on a personal level so it translates not only into the service I provide them but the work I create for them. As a purpose strategist, I help each of my clients gain clarity of the vision God has given them for their business, blog etc, and create the plan based on strategy. We focus on business strategy, brand strategy, accountability and planning. The exact same way each detail is prayed over for my own business and events, the same methods are recommended and taught in our sessions.
What’s the most important piece of advice you could give to a young woman just starting her career?
The most important piece of advice I could give anyone just starting their career would be to use prayer as an effective business and life strategy. Prayer is single handedly the best business strategy you could ever have. Even if you are in an industry you love and entrepreneurship just isn’t for you, prayer helps guide you to where you want to be in life. But of course, there is always a prerequisite. The prerequisite to prayer is having faith. We can pray and pray about something and nothing will change. Nothing changes if we don’t have the prerequisite of faith. Faith without works is dead (James 2:26) and without faith, no matter how hard you work in life, you will always fall short of where you’re supposed to be.
