Kailee, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
About a year ago, I was blogging and posting on Instagram with very little direction with my brand. I was actually branded under another name. I wasn’t getting anywhere or gaining any traction. I didn’t feel like I was even posting content that was true to myself. Posting and writing content didn’t feel genuine.
After some brainstorming and really stepping into my why of the content I wanted to share, I found what I actually wanted to do. Our Everyday Home was born, and I began sharing the content that was more authentic and organic to me.
Has it been a smooth road?
Through this journey, there have been obstacles to overcome. There have been so many times I have doubted my abilities because I do not have a degree in interior design. Imposter Syndrome sets in every once and a while, and I begin to become uncertain about my skills in home decor. Self-doubt can really mess with you if you let it.
My advice for anyone starting your journey is to connect with other creatives in your field who will cheer you on, and help encourage you on those days you begin to doubt yourself. I have made many connections with other women who are so uplifting. Creating connections and networking builds such strong bonds and chances are if you don’t know the answer to something, someone in your network will. Do not be afraid to reach out and ask questions!

Christina Galbato has an amazing podcast called Her Life by Design that is excellent for anyone working to build their business.
