Meet Trayon Ivory of Ivory Legacy in Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Trayon Ivory.

Trayon, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Yes, I started with bad credit at 468. Didn’t know anything about credit. I was just applying for things and kept getting denied. So, I got frustrated and said enough is enough! I have to get my credit together in order for my life to go a lot smoother. So, I ended up going to this guy by the name of Barry Ward. He said he could help me. After going through his program, my score shot up with three months a total of 78 points. I was shocked so I went back to the man to see how he did that so fast. He wasn’t at the same facility he was working at. So, what I did was did some research found the same platform he helps me out with. And became a Credit Restoration agent, and said a man not only I need this service but my whole community does. The Black Community, especially in Fort Worth, is not educated about how to use credit. Teach them about Financial Literacy.

I’ve not always been a 9-5 guy, so I used this as my way out of Corporate America. I can actually help others with their credit challenges and educate them along the way about credit the right way. So, that’s how I came up with the name and brand Ivory Legacy. My last name is Ivory and Legacy is not only my legacy, but I also want to leave. I want to help leave other family legacies as well. And inspire people, they’re a lot of avenues you can take and invest by leveraging your own credit not just your money, credit is power and it can lead you to success. This is how I got to where I’m at now and I’m not done yet with my community, I have a lot of work to do, just remember the name Trayon (Tray) Ivory, I am here to serve!!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been a smooth road to where I’m at today. It has been a lot of struggles with getting people to believe in you. That’s including family and friends, I’ve struggled with Financial issues and old habits. I had to discipline myself and cut out negative people and energy to be in the space to even take on this task like I want to. Like a good friend of mine, Bryan Humphrey said I had to put on my big man Boxers and Bossup and go after what I want. Running your own business is not easy when you building it, but it will be worth it at the end. You just have to be consistent and have a game plan.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
My business is called Ivory Legacy.

I specialize in Credit Restoration, I help people restore their credit when they are dealing with personal negative items on their credit report. That’s what my company is known for. What I’m most proud of with my company is My clients getting educated, seeing results, getting into houses they deserve. There a lot of lives we’ve done changed over the past year and that what excites me the most is helping people.

What set me apart from everyone else is I’m hands-on with my clients, I build a relationship and I stay on top of them long as they want to learn and needing my help. And this goes far as after the program when they stop using the services.

What were you like growing up?
Me growing up, I was the only child. I stayed to myself, I only wanted to be bothered on my own time. But at the same time, I had a kind heart, my dream was to become a professional athlete I had no dreams of working for someone. But I knew one day, I would have to stop being an introvert and step out there in my uncomfort zone.
