So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
It all started out when my cousin passed away due to gun violence. His name is Brandon Ratcliff and he made sure I keep a straight head on my shoulder to prevent me from doing things that could either get me hurt or locked away. He was well known around the DFW and even out of the state. I was hurt when he passed away so I wanted to keep Gamebreaker going. I carried Gamebreaker into music and I have plenty song I did and even performed at the 97.9 the beat dub car show. It was fun while it lasted. I sat around for some years and it was time to get the name Gamebreaker back out there and that’s when I decided I would make my brand of clothes. People started seeing the things I made and asked if I did custom stuff and I told them yes. It all started out with a birthday shirt and when I posted the shirt I made for this lady, I started getting messages from people asking for custom clothes so I had to get my skills up to par. That birthday shirt got me to the point where I am today.
Has it been a smooth road?
It started out bumpy because I didn’t know what materials I needed. I had to mess up things I did for myself to get my skills perfect and if not perfect close to it for the things I did for people. It got smooth as I started doing more and more customer’s clothing.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Gamebreaker Company – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
GamebreakerCo is an established name now. I did what I needed to do so I could personally own the name because it means more to me instead of it being just a saying. We do shirts, hats, cups, hoodies, varsity jackets and even plates lol. We specialize in making our customers happy with the things they purchase from us. A happy customer is our motto and if the customer isn’t happy then we didn’t stick to our motto and it’s disrespectful to the meaning of the name Gamebreaker. I’m proud for not giving up in the beginning when things were hard to figure out. I don’t say I’m set apart from others because everybody has their own mission they want to accomplish.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
What I like best about my city is that it’s home. When I travel out of my city into another city, I can’t be away for long periods of time because I get homesick and miss the people I call family. The least thing I like about my city is that there is so much hatred. If everybody comes together then we can turn DFW into the new Vegas.
