Today we’d like to introduce you to Trey Lowery.
So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I began as a competitive bodybuilder and as I got deeper into the sport I noticed there was no security of income, nothing to fall back on and If injured or couldn’t compete I would have no income. So I got the idea of starting my own gym but with a saturated market, I wanted to separate myself…so I started a Completely private goal-oriented fully operation gym but closed to the public.
I had no funding, and bad credit at the time, but I approached my now business partner with the plan and we began funding it ourselves… Two years later, we own our building, we own all of our equipment and have plans to open a downtown location.
With the Pandemic the value of our Private Facility model has grown like crazy.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This road has been one of the hardest but most fulfilling it was very hard because This idea started to be for me and my Ex Fiancé who is the number one female bodybuilder in the world, but she never supported the idea, never helped or anything, it really sent me into a depression and wanting to give up, but my business partner Rodney wouldn’t let me give up, we found a way to overcome no funding, bad credit and we are so much better two years later.
Kings Fitness Complex – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am a Completely Private Fitness Center that caters to our client’s individual fitness goals, we also provide a safe haven to independent trainers to build their brand in a safe private environment without worry of being kicked out or a Pandemic.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
