Today we’d like to introduce you to TrinityTags.
TrinityTags, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I am 19 and was born in Venezuela. Me and my family moved to the United States when I was 6 years old. I began my Creative journey at the age of 14 when I joined a videography small group at Calvary Church and made a connection with the teacher, Jamaal Jackson. He quickly became my first mentor and taught me all the basics of videography.
Then I got to meet other talented creators like Ruben Garcia Jr. and Jason Davis who taught me more specific skills and who I would work alongside for free just because I loved the craft. Before I knew it only 2 years after learning and growing, at the age of 16, I made my first commercial for a corporate executive – DHL: Global Forwarding. All of this was just the beginning and I didn’t really start making traction in Dallas until the beginning of 2017 when I joined Calvary Dallas and became their videographer. I tagged alongside Vincent Holland creating content to build up the hype for the church in Dallas.
Through this journey, I was introduced to what really made me want to pursue Social Media Influencing and street photography: DTXstreet. I met creators like @High_vis and @its_vuuutuan who inspired to follow my dream of making photography and videography my full-time job. In the beginning of 2017 I had no clients and by the end of it I had gained multiple connections and was able to sustain myself drop out of college and move out of my parent’s house.
I now currently work with Alamocha Live alongside amazing creators – Aaron and Arnold Lawson – and manage Noblepreneur, Noble Madu’s personal brand. I also host a weekly creative meet up called “Deep Nights” where we meet in Deep Ellum, connect over some coffee at Drugstore Cowboy and then head into the streets to take pictures where I push creatives to not just take cool photos but make art and inspire others through them. I’m blessed to be where I am 19, still building and excited to keep growing and connecting with as many people as I can.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road at all. At the beginning of my journey when I dropped out of college to be with Calvary Dallas for all of my time and build a clientele for my personal brand (TrinityTags) I got a lot of negative comments from friends and family about it.
Some friends disappeared from my life and others just didn’t want to associate with the “dropout.” Of course, there were also struggles financially. There were months where I couldn’t eat anything but ham and cheese sandwiches and days where I would wonder if I would have enough to pay my bills but by God’s grace, I always seemed to have enough.
The thing about all of these struggles though is that before you choose to be self-employed, you know that it will come with the lifestyle. This is what keeps a lot of people from following their dreams. My motto is “Just go.” I try to tell people that all the time because it’s true! If you think for too long about all of the negatives of ANY decision, you’ll eventually choose not to make it.
Once I changed my mindset from “What if…” to “Just go,” I started executing every goal little by little. So everyone that’s reading this that is hesitant on following your dream, JUST GO! You can always find a regular job, that’s easy. What’s hard is going after what you really want to achieve, so just go.
Please tell us about Alamocha Live.
Alamocha Live is an amazing creative company that specializes in video but can excel in anything that the digital market demands like photo shoots or even social media management. We have great communication throughout the whole team that makes your branding experience seamless and fun. I honestly think that what makes this company special is the rate of efficiency due to our team chemistry. Our creative director is Arnold Lawson and is an amazing cinematographer.
I’m an editor for the company so I handle video editing and photo editing alongside Aaron Lawson, the other editor. Although that’s my title I also do every other part like the actual production of the content and photoshoots. I think that what makes this company stand out is how quick we get amazing work done. Noble Madu (the founder and CEO of the company) is very good at communicating with clients and working well with any business from mom and pop shops to corporate executives.
I’m also an Instagram influencer @TrinityTags so you should totally follow me! What makes me stand out is my unique photography editing style and video content! You should check it out!
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite childhood memory is playing baseball and training with my dad every week. I played baseball competitively until the end of High School but my favorite childhood memories always revolve around baseball.
