Meet Troyell Lewis of Trale Beauty Inc in North Dallas/Carrolton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Troyell Lewis.

Troyell, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’ve always had beautiful vibrant glowing skin. After a couple of years into high school, my skin started to turn around and I started seeing a Dermatologist. I’d see my dermatologist every three weeks and they’d perform hands-on treatments to my face. Things were under control and my skin had returned back to having the vibrancy I once remembered. Fast forward to giving birth to my first child in 2012, my skin went downhill. I had begun to practice what I once learned about the skin but none of it worked. I started working at a Massage Envy Spa seven months later and begin speaking with Estheticians there about the product line we had carried. I’d assist the Estheticians with room set up and product sales while researching ingredients and studying the skin response to other ingredients. Those products were considered spa-grade and had worked for some time but then stopped. I had been back to see a dermatologist but things had changed. They were no longer performing treatments, instead writing prescriptions for topicals that were ineffective. I found myself starting beauty school in 2013 to study the skin in dept. Then 2014, receiving my first medical-grade facial followed by my very first chemical peel shortly after. Then, begin the further exploration of my study with the skin and medical-grade products. Here we are today, sharing the knowledge and experience with all of you.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s been a very challenging journey. I originally started at an Esthetics school in Ohio in 2013. I’d travel around the whole US, corner to corner, with my husband. His professional football career would lead us to different states leaving me unable to complete the Esthetics program to begin my own practice. Every state we’ve lived in, I was able to establish a relationship at different MedSpa/Plastic Surgeon practices. I’d like to think that assisted in me continuing my study and practice helping familiarize myself with different ingredients and treatments.

In search of a more flexible schedule, there were popular schools that I’d reach out to for help in the Dallas area. I had withdrawn from a school in garland, costing me thousands to enroll in a program that seemed promising in Addison. Only to find the director was too busy to help solidify my enrollment status, leaving me unenrolled for a week. Once things were clear that we’d settle in Dallas and that I wasn’t able to attend the program in Addison. I started researching other options and found a program starting in just a few days from that day. I started and completed the program, at what would be my third and final beauty school.

There are other obstacles I’ve had to overcome. I’ll be sharing that and more information on our first course in 2020. Information and details will be coming soon.

Trale Beauty Inc – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Our practice specializes in clearing the skin. We perform corrective skin treatments to help with that. Mainly focusing on advanced facials and medical-grade treatments. I’m most proud of my company because our clients are able to see how authentic we are in helping people. I’d like to think what sets us apart is our experience and the fact that we have an amazing Medical Director backing us.

We also offer esthetic equipment and training. We sell our multifunctional beauty machines to professionals looking to offer advanced facials. Our training courses are on our machine and business branding/management.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I define success as making progress. You can’t and will not be successful unless you’re self-motivated and are willing to put your best foot forward with all that you do.

I was raised to treat the Janitor as you would the School Teacher. That means, everyone is important. Success isn’t defined by a single person.
