Today we’d like to introduce you to Ahmir lyons.
Ahmir, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My name is Ahmir Lyons. I am 20 years old, graduated class of 2018. I originally grew up in South Jersey, where dreams really do not make it to reality. Fortunately, my mother relocated to the great city of Dallas. I have always been into fashion since a kid and it was always a dream for me to me own my own clothing line.
In 2019, I started launching my brand Trxbe Clothing Co. (Meaning Tribe as a pack/culture. The X replacing the “I” in tribe was an idea from the late Malcom X. I began working with many logo creators and spent a lot of money doing so. For some reason, their designs were just not what I wanted to use. So in the middle of the year 2019, I began learning how to create digital designs and eventually created my own artwork. I wanted my brand to be affordable for the community. I have two different collections. One for the people just wanted to shop basic and the other, which is a luxury collection for high-end fashion.
Although I am still in the process of making a stamp for my company. I have gotten a lot of support and many people started to buy my clothes. It wasn’t easy having to drop orders off while in college and working a 9-5 job, also, with the expense of shipping out orders locally and internationally. But it’s not about the money for me. It’s just about seeing people actually love the ideas that I come out with and being able to afford them. It so far, it has been a very humbling experience.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, Actually, it has been hard. I was in college and working full time trying to fund my business as much as I could. Nothing in life is going to be easy, nor will be it be handed to you. I was taught. March 2020 is when I felt like my life stopped. My only parent (mother) went into labor and unfortunately had labor difficulties, which lead for her to going into shock and coding four times for many hours. My mother had blood clots all over her body, including the heart and lungs, which lead her to be in a coma for one week. She was in the hospital for 39 days. During the days, I was the only next to kin so I have so I had no other choice to take care of my newborn sister. Which was very hard on me but a blessing at the same time. During the days of my mother’s stay. She had a blood clot in her hand, which lead her to lose her hand. Once she got out it was very hard for her to try to manage a newborn with the other one hand. Fortunately, she made away and life began to seem somewhat better.
Please tell us about Trxbe Clothing.

I specialize in creating ideas for my clothing line by any means. So if I have to physically make draw my sketches, I will do so. I’m really known for being funny. I love to make jokes and make others laugh. I made funny videos all the time. Laughing just heals the body. I am very proud that I was able to created my own brand, ideas, and designs by myself. Although I have been through so many tough phases in life, I still have my brand and I am still striving to expand. I feel like the number one thing that set me apart from others is I love to donate and give away on the holidays by feeding the homeless. If I see a person of need, I will give the money or I will give them some of my collections from my clothing line so they can have clean clothes and a lot of people know that love to give back.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Truthfully, I would not like to start over. Everything in life happens for a reason and I would not want to do things differently.
