Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyler Busby.
Tyler, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve been a DJ since 2012, getting my start at a nightclub in Dallas called Dark Side. After a while, I got burned out of the club scene and hung up my headphones to focus on myself and my normal 9 to 5 life, until a few years back, after booking a DJ for my wedding and realizing how expensive it was, I figured a lot of clients out there had a need for a high-quality DJ with amazing MC skills but at a fraction of the price (because let’s be honest, times are tough and money is tight). So, I got some new gear together and started out on this journey to help throw amazing proms, weddings, birthday parties, and any other party that needed a DJ at a more reasonable price that didn’t stress people out. And I understand a lot of DJs out there do this for a living and live off the money they get from their gigs, but I do well at my normal job, so I don’t have a need to charge such a high rate for my services, plus I love being able to help my clients out so they can have everything they need for their big day without having to cut any corners
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The hardest part has been getting my name out there just because everybody is a DJ nowadays, it seems, but the thing that makes me stand out more than anyone else is my outstanding customer service and the fact that I go above and beyond for my clients each and every gig, I want every event to be more spectacular than the last!

At Jakovall, I do it all from weddings to birthday parties and even divorce parties, no job is too small or too big! And if your budget is tight, I will make it work for you so your event will be spectacular!!!
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was always involved with performing arts doing plays, commercials, and a TV show. I feel like this helps my personality when I get on the mic to entertain my crowd and ensure they have the most memorable night because no one wants a shy, quiet DJ trying to hype up the crowd, you need an entertainer, and that’s what I do!
