Today we’d like to introduce you to Valencia Bullock.
Valencia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Ever since I was a little girl, I had a passion for fashion. I learned how to sew from my mother. I truly started focusing on perfecting my craft in the summer of 2019. I hand make clothes that are unique and bold, all constructed by hand from start to finish. I’ve showcased my designs in fashion shows and pop-up events.
With support from family and friends, I launched Vee.Vogue in June 2020. I knew it was time for me to expand my horizons and start my business to create garments for others. Recently, I shipped out the first batch of my orders to my customers. It was truly a blessing to have so many people who want to wear my clothes and support my ambitions. I am very excited to continue to grow in my skills and create more clothes. This is just the beginning.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My journey has not been the smoothest. Sewing is very tedious and involves a lot of patience. I spend many sleepless days and nights sewing in order for my sketches/ideas to come to life. In addition, I continue to learn new skills and techniques that help me grow as a designer.

I am a designer known for my versatility and eclectic style. I launched Vee.Vogue to showcase and sell my unique and high-end fashion designs that reflect who I am as a designer. I specialize in hand-making clothes that represent who I am and what fashion is to me. I like to think as my clothes as statements, a way to express myself without speaking.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
The qualities that I believe is most important to my success as a fashion designer is having a fine eye for details and creative/artistic skills. In addition, patience, confidence, and authenticity will allow me to fully blossom into the vibrant fashion designer I am meant to be.
