Meet Veronica Delgado of VY Notary & Financial Services

Today we’d like to introduce you to Veronica Delgado.

Hi Veronica, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The story behind my business started back in high school when I joined all the Business/Entrepreneur classes and clubs. I always knew I wanted to be my own boss and start my very own business but the problem was I just didn’t know what I wanted to create or start. Like every 17-18 yr old, you are still trying to find yourself. It wasn’t until 2020 when COVID hit that I had an inkling of what I wanted to do. I was a sophomore in college when my mom brought the idea of becoming a mobile notary public/ loan signing agent when my parents were refinancing their house and they had a mobile notary go to our house to notarize the documents! My mom asked the notary questions about what exactly it took to become a mobile notary and she brought that information back to me. I was very intrigued with the idea of getting paid to just stamp some documents and sign my name a couple time so I went into research mode.

At first I thought it was too good to be true but as I dug more into what it entails by buying a course and that’s when I started to really see myself become a mobile notary public and loan signing agent. Unfortunately I was deep in analysis paralysis and I was also very scared about failing, that I didn’t start my mobile notary business until right after I graduated college from UT Tyler with a Bachelors in Business Administration in 2022.

I was fortunate enough to have a remote/work from home job when I graduated that I started taking signings and appointments before work, during my lunch break, and after work. I was falling in love with my business but I became stagnant and wanted to level up as a business owner so I started in person marketing. Let me tell you I was so scared to walk into an office and just talk to people about my offer. I was a very shy person throughout all my life and this business really brought me out of my comfort zone. It really had to grow with my business and looking back now I really am so happy I pushed myself to get out of my comfort zone.

I was really able to build amazing relationships with Title companies in the Tyler area which really grew my business exponentially. There are a couple people that I personally want to shout out because they made my time in Tyler so amazing and continue to really support me and my business and for that I am forever grateful.

Ruby Salgado was one of the first Escrow Officers I met during a TREC meeting when I first started my in person marketing journey. We instantly connected and she became a person I could go to if I had any questions about specific documents and she has showed unwavering support through it all. Thank you Ruby for everything, you truly are the best!

Joshua Ryder was that first to trust me and became my first signing service client! When I expanded my notary business into a nationwide service to help connect Title companies with notaries all over the U.S. for closings in 2025, he was the first to say yes and fully support my vision for my business! He really is the type of person that always wants the best for all of his clients and it truly shows! Thank you Josh for believing in my business and for all the support you have shown us!

Patrick Smallwood has always shown a kindness that everyone needs in their life. He has always been so kind and has been so supportive. I am thankful that he trusts me with his clients and I really hope to continue to build with him through his career!

These Escrow Officers have meant the world to me and my business and I wouldn’t be close to where I am without their help and continued support. Thank you for everything and I look forward to continuing these amazing relationships!

With the help of these amazing Escrow Officers I began to become very busy in my business that I decided to go all in and go full-time November 2023 and I haven’t looked back since. Since going full time, like I stated, I decided to take that leap of faith and become a Nationwide Signing Service. This allows me to help my Title clients connect with mobile notaries all over the U.S. to help with the closing of a house wherever their signer is located. Being able to help my clients with this has been the best thing, because I now am able to find qualified and vetted notaries for their closings where they know they are getting the best of the best service.

Becoming a signing service has allowed me to really grow and expand in ways I never thought possible. It allowed me to move to Dallas, TX where now I am able to help more Title companies connect with vetted notaries for their clients that actually allows them to not worry about the closing because they know when they use us the closing will go flawlessly and smoothly.

I also am very exited to announce that we are now also your one-stop shop for your notary and financial needs! I became a certified Financial Advisor who can help our clients plan for retirement, help set up college savings accounts, help with 401k & IRA rollovers, debt consolidation, life insurance, long-term care planning, estate planning and business planning. Becoming a one-stop shop has truly helped make a bigger impact on my clients and I am so thankful and excited to help even more clients through these services!

Today I am in the process of setting up more in-person notary events where I teach and coach new notaries the basics of becoming a mobile notary public and loan signing agent. The process of coaching others brings me so much joy and I am so excited to begin this side of my business! I am definitely looking forward to meeting more aspiring notaries and connecting with more Title companies and Title professionals!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There were many times that I thought about quitting because owning a business is hard. There were times were I had little to none clients or appointments a week and it was very tough but I always had it in my head that “this is not going to be forever, never give up… whatever you do never give up, you never know when that ‘No’ will turn into a yes!” I had to just keep going even when I didn’t want to and I am so thankful I didn’t give up!

Ultimately, VY Notary & Financial Services is about more than signatures; it’s about building financial security, one signature at a time.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Over the next five to ten years, I see the notary and financial services industries becoming more integrated, digital, and education-driven. Technology is transforming the way people sign, plan, and protect their assets. With the expansion of Remote Online Notarization (RON), clients are beginning to expect faster, more convenient, and highly secure ways to complete transactions from anywhere in the country. As this becomes the new standard, companies that combine digital efficiency with a personal touch will stand out.

On the financial side, there’s a growing awareness of the importance of financial literacy, generational wealth, and long-term planning. People are no longer just looking for products, they want guidance, education, and a trusted advisor who can help them build financial freedom. I believe we’ll see a continued shift toward holistic, client-centered service models that connect everyday financial decisions with long-term goals.

At VY Notary & Financial Services, we’re already embracing this evolution by combining the professionalism of a nationwide signing service with the empowerment of financial education and personalized planning. The future belongs to those who can bridge convenience, trust, and financial empowerment, and that’s exactly where our brand is heading.
